These terms apply when you use This Was. By creating an account, you agree to them.

Who we are

This Was. is run by Egbert Ludema, Walperterwei 8K, Wommels, 8731CC. You can reach us at hello@thiswas.app.

Your account

You need to be at least 16 to use This Was. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.

What you add stays yours

Your experiences, notes and photos remain yours. You give us permission to store and show them, only as far as needed to run This Was. and to show them to the people you choose. That permission ends when you delete them, as described in the privacy policy.

Only add what you’re allowed to add. That includes photos, and details about other people.

How to behave

Please don’t use This Was. to:

• post anything illegal, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit or abusive
• harass anyone, or share private details of others without their permission
• break, overload or scrape the service, or get into accounts that aren’t yours

You can block anyone in the app. To report something, email hello@thiswas.app with what it is and where you saw it, and we’ll look into it. We can remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Details from other sources

Details about films, shows, books, games, events and places come from other services and can be incomplete or wrong. Ticket links go to other companies, and anything you buy there is between you and them.

The service

We do our best to keep This Was. running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. It’s wise to export your data now and then. Features can change. If we ever stop the service, we’ll tell you in advance so you can export your data.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time, from Settings in the app. How deleting works.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect damage or loss from using This Was. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be set aside.

Changes and law

If these terms change in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in advance in the app or by email. Dutch law applies, unless the consumer law of your own country gives you more protection.
